Custom Shower Doors in Hunterdon County, NJ
Frameless, sliding and custom glass shower doors for Hunterdon County homes, measured on site and installed by our own team.
Hunterdon County custom shower doors
Hunterdon County is a short drive west of our base in Chester. We make and install custom frameless shower doors, sliding doors and tub glass for homes in Califon, Tewksbury, Lebanon, Clinton, Readington, Flemington and the townships around them.
Hunterdon has everything from 1700s farmhouses to new construction. Older homes bring leaning walls, sloped ceilings and small bathrooms, while newer ones have big walk-in showers. We laser measure every opening and cut the glass to match it.

Shower glass for Hunterdon County homes
Farmhouses and older homes
Walls in older houses often lean or wave. A wall that leans but stays straight is easy: we cut the glass to the lean. A wavy wall needs more planning, such as a U-channel that hides small gaps, and we work that out at the measurement.
Upstairs baths with sloped ceilings
Capes and farmhouses often have a shower under the roof line. We cut the top of the panel to follow the slope and place the door where there’s full head height.
Knee walls and benches
Glass can sit on a half wall with clamps or a U-channel, and a panel can be notched around a bench. Run the bench through the glass line, or keep it well clear of the glass, so there’s no narrow slot to clean.
Homes on private wells
Many Hunterdon homes are on wells, and well water can leave mineral spots on glass. EnduroShield protective coating ($150) makes the glass easier to keep clear.

Installation
Professional installation, typically 2–4 hours, with final adjustments and cleanup.
Before we measure
- Finish the ceiling and tile under a sloped roof first, so the slope we measure is the final one.
- Decide on a bench or niche before we come. The glass is cut around the finished bench.
- Check the curb. It should be level along its length and pitch slightly into the shower, about 1/16″ to 1/8″. A curb that tips outward lets water run under the door.

Do you come out to Califon and Tewksbury?
Yes. Both are close to our base in Chester. Enter your ZIP in the instant quote or pick Hunterdon County to see the installed price.
Can glass fit a sloped ceiling or a knee wall?
Yes. We cut panels to the slope of the ceiling and mount glass on knee walls with clamps or a U-channel. See our inline door projects for a door under a sloped ceiling.
Will well water ruin the glass?
No, but its minerals leave spots that build up if they sit. A squeegee after each shower, a non-abrasive cleaner and good ventilation keep the glass clear, and the protective coating helps. See cleaning shower glass.
Our walls aren’t straight. Can you still fit frameless glass?
Yes, in most cases. A wall that leans but is straight is easy to match. Bowed or wavy walls need more planning, and we’ll tell you at the measurement which hardware handles them best. See out-of-plumb vs. wavy walls.
Is a frameless door a good idea for a small farmhouse bathroom?
Often, yes. Clear glass keeps a small room feeling open. If a door would hit the vanity or toilet, a sliding door needs no swing room at all.
How much does a custom shower door cost in Hunterdon County?
Glass and hardware start at $721 for a single door and $1,042 for a door with a fixed panel, and installation starts at $450. Corner, neo-angle and larger doors cost more. See prices by layout or get your exact price with our instant quote.
How long does it take?
After a free on-site measurement your glass is fabricated in about 7–10 business days. Installation usually takes 2–4 hours.
What is the difference between framed and frameless shower doors?
Framed shower doors have metal or plastic framing around the glass. Frameless doors have no visible frames, offering a more modern, open look, and use thicker, stronger glass for support.
