This frosted glass wall fills its opening from floor to ceiling. A fixed panel sits on the left, and two doors turn on pivots set at the top and bottom, each with a towel bar handle. Frosted glass lets daylight through while keeping what’s behind it private.
The opening was measured once the walls and floor were finished, and our own team installed the glass.
Project details
- Layout: fixed panel and two pivot doors
- Glass: frosted, floor to ceiling
- Handles: towel bars on both doors
Frosted glass for privacy
Frosted glass is etched on one side, so it turns translucent: light comes through, but shapes don’t. It suits toilet rooms, showers that face the bathroom door and shared bathrooms, and it hides water spots better than clear glass.
Our instant quote prices two frosted options: frosted clear glass and frosted Starphire, which has less of the green tint at the edges.
Pivot hinges
Pivot hinges hold a door at its top and bottom edges instead of along its side. That leaves a clean glass edge, and it works where there’s no solid wall beside the door for side hinges, as with these two doors. See shower door hinges.
What similar glass costs
Frosted glass and pivot doors are priced from your measurements. As a starting point, a door with a fixed panel starts at $1,042 for glass and hardware in clear glass, with installation from $550, and the instant quote shows what frosted glass adds at your size.

Questions
Can frosted glass go floor to ceiling? Yes. Tall pieces are measured on site and cut to the finished opening, like all of our glass.
How do I clean frosted glass? With a soft cloth or squeegee and a non-abrasive cleaner, as with clear glass. It hides water spots better than clear glass does. See cleaning shower glass.
