Walk-In Shower Glass and a Frosted Glass Door

Frameless walk-in shower glass and a frosted glass door and panel in a marble bathroomFrameless glass front with a door on a large marble walk-in shower with windows

Photos retouched with AI.

In this marble bathroom, a wide wall of frameless glass closes off a large walk-in shower with two rain heads, wall niches and a row of windows. Next to it, a frosted glass door and panel close off a second opening, so the room has clear glass where you want light and frosted glass where you want privacy.

Every piece was cut to the finished marble, and our own team installed the glass.

Project details

  • Layout: a glass front with a door across the walk-in shower, and a frosted door and panel beside it
  • Glass: clear on the shower, frosted on the door and panel next to it
  • Walls: marble from floor to ceiling

Clear and frosted glass in one room

Frosted glass is etched on one side, so it turns translucent: light comes through, but shapes don’t. It suits a toilet room or a shower that faces the bathroom door, and it hides water spots better than clear glass. Clear glass keeps a big shower and its stone on show.

Each piece is ordered on its own, so one room can mix both.

A wide glass front

A long run of glass is made of several panels with a door between them. The fixed panels are held at the walls and the curb with clamps or a U-channel, and a panel that carries the door needs support at the top so it doesn’t flex. We plan the joints at the measurement, so the door lands where you step in. See fixed panel width and stability.

What a similar shower costs

A panel – door – panel front starts at $1,445 for glass and hardware, with installation from $550, at the smallest size with 3/8″ clear glass and the lowest-priced finish. A front this wide, and frosted glass, are priced from your measurements, and the instant quote shows what frosted glass adds.
